What is Mechanical Traction?

Mechanical traction relies on a motorized device that appies gentle, consistent, and intermittent pulling force with the purpose of separating vertebrae, relieving pressure on discs and nerves.

Common conditions that mechanical traction alleviates includes:

  • Degenerative Disc Disease

  • Herniations

  • Sciatica

  • Chronic Neck / Back Pain

This process is often paired with a chiropractic adjustment either before or after it is performed. There is no therapeutic benefit as to when the adjustment is performed, it is up to patient preference.
